Re: PS4 cannot access system storage error code (CE-34335-8)

Nov 16, 2013

First time booting up the PS4 it shows the PS logo and then restarts into safe mode with error (CE-34335-8)

Opened up the hdd area to find this. The Hdd tray is partially slid out and missing the screw.

This is how the tray should look when it's slid in all the way. I need a screw to insert to insure that it doesn't slide back out.

I had the same problem after looking at my hdd there was no security screw. I pushed in the HDD then it clicked and now im good its works perfectly fine. I am still looking for a security screw though.

Hey guys. I hope y'all reply back to me.. I've had this problem since the update 2.01 I think. And it was all weekend with the error, but it started working Monday. And last night the 2.02 version came out and my system still works.. should I still send it in??

My ps4 is getting that HDD problem that it can't access its own HDD I don't know if I should replace it's hard drive. Oh forgot to say I upgrade it's HDD to a 2TB maybe that one broke. Should I get the old 500gig and reinstall it's software to see if turns back on. Btw I was thinking of replacing it because it also has disk drive probs were it won't even accept the disk and when it does you'll play the game it'll freeze up and lock itself and the only I can turn it off is by unplugging it. Is there any way you can replace my ps4?!

OMG I'm having the same issue right now. I upgraded to a 2TB with the device Nyko Data Bank 2 months ago. Now it gives me this message error. I had followed intructions of how to fix it. I removed the data bank to check the black hdd that replaced the 2.5'' 500MB put the screw back on and put back everything and turned it on, IT WORKED, but I couldn't play for more than 20 or 30 minutes. I reuse the "how to fix method" for 5 more times and now it doesn't work anymore. Also my Nyko Data Bank yellow is not turned on anymore. The error popped up  last weekend lol and now trying to find solution as it is not working at all Smiley Sad

I checked the cable behind and notice that  the cable link to the Nyko and the power is lil bit off. I don't know if it is because of that that the PS4 could not open the system storage.

Personal Solution (do not follow this advice, I haven't tried it yet Smiley Sad and I'm scared):

_Try to buy a new nyko and ask staff first if not working then if possible to get full refunds

or_Try to put the screw back in place if you have, a mm difference can cause the safe mode and CE-34335-8 error message to pop-up.

           _Final Solution................buy a new PS4 ^^'

I haven't found any clue if we can put it back the orginal PS4 HDD, please let me know if you find any solution or if you just bought a new PS4.

Thank you for sharing your experience, fellow gamer.

SONY PLEASE HELP US WITH THAT Smiley Happy
