Just got black ops 2 and am playing multi player online and Ps3 turns off 10 min into playing

I personally think I have a crashed file that's messing mine up. So right now I am restoring my ps3 so I can try to play tomorrow morning

I have the same problem. Please let us know if the restore works. I have a sneaking suspicion that it won't. Fingers crossed though.

Hey guys, question. Are you all trying to run the game on old school PS3 phats? Do your other games still work ok on the same PS3?

Yeah I'm on a fat. But as far as other games, I can run skyrim, MW3, Black Ops 1, and everything else Except for Uncharted 2, 24/7 without any issues! This same thing happened while playing uncharted 2 but it only happened on a few levels and through persistence I was able to make it through in the end. But as far as Blops 2 is concerned, the first time I didn't even make it to the multiplayer menu before it shut off. I've had a few "successful" runs where I made it through up to TWO games without it shutting off. But now they've given me a probation warning for not finishing matches so I've stopped trying.

Yes I have an older phat model. Never had an issue with any other games while I was playing. It did shut off a couple times while quiting madden 13. But not during gameplay.
